Adult Training Program
The Adult Training Facility was established in response to the lack of opportunities available to graduating young adults with disabilities. Its purpose is to provide them with the skills necessary to face future challenges and, where possible, prepare them for meaningful employment.
Our mission is to empower young Barbadians with disabilities through skills training and entrepreneurial development, enabling greater participation in the economic life of Barbados.
This is an integrated training program designed for young adults between the ages of 16 and 50. The duration of training typically spans two (2) to three (3) years, depending on the individual’s progress and program of study.
Each training area focuses on equipping students with both the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to function independently and, where applicable, enter the job market.
